It can play all online video with a little tweak. Today I will show how to play YouTube Video in VLC Player Online. 

1. Download VLC Media Player from here. 
2. Install it and run the application. 

3. Go to browser, open the youtube site and Copy the link of youtube video from your browser. It will looks like this : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3Hq3gefI4Y&feature=g-vrec&context=G278664aRVAAAAAAAAAA

4. Now come to VLC Media Player, here you will find Media.
5. Click on Media and go to "Open Network Stream..."
6. Here, go to Network tab.
7. Here you will find a text box labeled "Please enter a network URL :"
8. Just paste the copied url from youtube website. As i am pasting here "http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3Hq3gefI4Y&feature=g-vrec&context=G278664aRVAAAAAAAAAA" (without quotes)


9. Delete the words after http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x3Hq3gefI4Y. (In simple way delete the other words which comes after first &).


10. Click on Play and now you can watch movie in VLC Media Player with full screen on your desktop through internet.

5. Click on Media and go to "Convert/save..." and vlc will open a new windows like this :

6. Go to Network tab and paste the URL of your youtube video. 

7. Click on "Covert/ Save" button.

8. Its will open a windows named "Convert".

9. Click on Browse and give a filename with extension ".avi" (without quotes). It support other formats also like : .ps, .ts, .mpg, .ogg, .asf, .mp4, .mov, .wav, .raw, .flv, .webm. I haveff given name as huaweivideo.avi.

10. After giving name click on save button. 

11. Check the named "Display the output".

12. Now click on start.

If everything goes well now you will be able to watch the video as well as download the video same time.
