Use sfc /SCANNOW command to repair any version of windows


You can repair your windows in various ways if some dll or files have been get corrupted on your computer/laptop. But, from different types of repair solution available, I have felt that sfc /SCANNOW is the best solution. The sfc scannow option is one of several specific switches available in the sfc command, the Command Prompt command used to run System File Checker. sfc /scannow is the most common way that the sfc command is used.
Sfc /scannow will inspect all of the important Windows files on your computer, including Windows DLL files. If System File Checker finds an issue with any of these protected files, it will replace it.

Before using this command you must be logged in as administrator rights in order to run the sfc /SCANNOW command.

Using sfc /SCANNOW  to repair important Windows files usually takes 5 to 10 minutes. If you are repairing your windows Xp or Windows 2000 then when ever you will use this command then its will ask you for original CD, if you are repairing your Windows Vista / Windows 7 or 8 through this command then its will not ask even for original DVD and its will repair your Computer withing 5 to 10 minutes.

How to use step by step guide :

1. Open Command Prompt (Just press windows key and R from keyboard).

Important : You must run Command Prompt as an administrator in Windows 7 and Windows Vista to use System File Checker.

2. Once Command Prompt is open, type the following command and then press Enter.

sfc /SCANNOW

Note: There's a space between sfc and /SCANNOW

System File Checker will now verify the integrity of every protected operating system file in your computer/laptop.

Restart your computer after the completion of sfc /SCANNOW command.

Note: System File Checker may or may not prompt you to restart but even if it doesn't, you should restart anyway.

After a few minutes your computer is ready without formatting.
