Good news for Windows 8 users. Bitdefender has just released Antivirus Plus 2013, Internet Security 2013, and Total Security 2013 products with new user interface, features, and enhancements. USB immunizer, safepay, and anti-theft are the main attractions of this new version of Bitdeender.
While Bitdefender safepay and USB immunizer features are present in all three products, Device anti-theft feature is available only in the high-end Total Security 2013.
All these three products include antivirus, antispyware, autopilot, antiphishing, search advisor, and social networking protection features, while advanced features such as two-way firewall, parental control, antispam, anti-theft, safebox, and tune-up features are available in the Total Security, safebox, tune-up, and anti-theft features are missing from the Bitdefender Internet Security 2013.
The anti-theft feature, which is available only in Total Security, helps you control your device even if it’s stolen or lost. You can lock, wipe, or locate the device from any other Internet connected device.
With Bitdefender safepay, one can shop online safely. Safepay automatically opens e-banking and e-shopping web pages in a separate, secure browser. Another new feature, USB immunizer automatically immunizes your USB drive from viruses and other malicious threads. The security widget that sites on your desktop lets you easily drag-and-drop files for quick scan.
All three Bitdefender products sport a clean and straight-forward user interface.
You can download the online installer (web setup) and then run the installer to start downloading the full setup and install the Bitdefender on your machine. In addition to Windows 8, all three products support Windows XP, Vista, and Windows 7 too. Bitdefender is paid software and it comes with 30 days trial-period.
