The download size of the web setup is ~4 MB (full setup is ~41 MB). Run the web setup and then follow on-screen instructions to download and install the right version of AVG Free AntiVirus on your PC. One should note that when you will install setup of AVG Antivirus then it will try to install AVG Security Toolbar to protect your computer and also sets AVG Secure Search as your default search engine. One who don’t want to install the Toolbar and browser settings, select Custom Install and then deselect those options.
AVG Antivirus Free 2013 offers only basic protection to your PC. It can detect and stop viruses, threats, and malware but if you are looking for a solid protection you need to buy the AVG Internet Security 2013 or any other good security software such Kaspersky Internet Security 2013, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus 2013, or Norton Internet Security.
In my opinion, for home users this is the best antivirus and one need not to buy any product..
