WinAero has recently made a brand new tool for Windows 8 which allows you to change all settings of DWM/Aero at Windows 8. This is a freeware and portable application and does not require to be installed. It works only on Windows 8 and does not require any additional software.
Microsoft changed DWM in Windows 8. Some parameters was completely removed, such as Transparency and amount of Aero Srtipes. Some parameters like second Aero color, Blur, balance between colors has no effect in Windows 8 because DWN ignores their values.
This is great tool. It is so simple to use. Just drag the Color Balance and when it looks good then just click on Save and your settings will be saved. When you will drag the Color Balance then same time you can see the preview also. After applying the changes if you want to Restore default settings then it is also possible through Cancel (Restore DWM defaults) button.
