Tabbed
browsing is one of the best features available in modern web browsers.
Most of us use tabbed browsing as it is the fastest way to quickly
switch between opened tabs and browse the web. Unfortunately, Windows
Explorer has no functionality like tabbed browsing.
There
are quite a few plugins are available on the internet to bring this web
browser functionality to Windows Explorer. QTTabBar and Explorer++ are
the most popular tabbed browsing plugins. While these programs are good,
they are not impressive. The downside of these program is that the tabs
appear just below the Toolbar in Explorer and the interface isn’t good
as well.
Users
who are looking to get tabbed browsing functionality to Windows
Explorer must check out Clover add-on. It’s a freeware add-on for
Windows Vista, Windows 7, and Windows 8 Explorer and brings Google
Chrome style tabs to your Windows Explorer so you can easily switch
between opened windows and get your things done quickly.
The
best thing about program is that it also lets you reopen closed tabs
with the Ctrl + Shift + T hotkey, just like modern web browsers.
Just
download and install Clover and once done, open up two or more folders
to see the Clover in action. Right-click on a tab to see new tab,
duplicate tab, pin tab, close tab, close other tabs, close tabs to the
right, reopen closed tab, and bookmark all tabs option.
Clover
is compatible with both x86 and x64 versions of Windows. Users who have
used any other program to get tabbed browsing in Windows Explorer are
going to leave other add-on.
