Add Google Custom Search on Sidebar
I have already discussed about 'how to earn money from google custom search'. In this post we have shown the article how you can put your Google custom search on the top of webpage below the Title. Today, I am writing a article about how to put Google Custom Search on Sidebar.
I will show you the simplest way, how to Add Google Custom Search on Sidebar of blog? There is no need of any programming knowledge also for doing this.
Before proceeding these steps you have to get a Google Custom Search Code.
How to get Google Custom Search Code?
1. Login to Google Adsense account.
2. Goto 'My Ads' tab.
3. Click on Search on the left side.
4. Click on 'Custom search engines'.
5. Click on 'New custom search engine' as highlighted in the above screenshot.
6. Here, you have to feel the form.
Form Filling Process
1. Write in Name box Search This Blog.
2. In what to search select 'Only sites I select' and put your blog address (in my case we have put http://kamlesh2011.blogspot.com).
3. In Keywords put some keyword related to your blog (like - mobile, modem etc)
4. Now come to "Search box style". Select any style you like to put on your blog.
5. Now come in "Text box length" in put any length as you like to put in your blog (in my case we have written 50 here)
6. In "Ad style" select style of ad which will display after doing a google search.
7. In 'Search Results' select radio button "on my website using an iframe". (Its will open your search result in same page using an iframe)
8. Now put your blog address in "URL where search results will be displayed:"
9. After all these steps click on "Save and get code".
10. Now its will open a window like this :
How to put custom search on sidebar?
1. Go to blogger Layout page.
2. Click on "Add a Gadget" as highlighted in above screenshot. (On which Location you want to put this gadget on that location do this process)
3. Here add "HTML/JavaScript" gadget using + button.
4. Now you will see a "HTML/JavaScript" gadget has been added to your layout.
5. Click on Edit of "HTML/JavaScript" gadget.
6. Paste all the codes of Step 10 serially in "Content" text box.
7. Now you have done, you have put a working "Google custom search" in your blog sidebar. If you facing any problem feel free to leave a comment.
